Risk Disclosure
Understand the risks before participating
KLEAR is a speculative crypto project. Token prices can fall, liquidity can disappear, and people can lose everything they put in. That is true of this project as much as any other, and it is stated here in full rather than in a footnote.
The ledger
What the risks actually mean
- High volatility
- Crypto assets are highly volatile and speculative. Prices can move sharply in either direction, including downward, and can stay there.
- Loss of your entire amount
- You can lose all of the money you put in. There is no protection, no insurance and no recovery mechanism for a token that falls to zero.
- Price falls regardless of intention
- A token price can fall regardless of a project's intentions, efforts or public statements. Good conduct does not create demand.
- Limited or disappearing liquidity
- Liquidity may be limited or may disappear entirely. Without liquidity you may be unable to sell at any price, even if a quoted price exists.
- Irreversible transactions
- Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. A mistaken or fraudulent transfer usually cannot be reversed, recovered or refunded by anyone.
- Infrastructure failure
- Smart contracts, wallets, exchanges, bridges and other infrastructure can fail, be misconfigured or be exploited, including through third-party code KLEAR does not control.
- Impersonation, phishing and counterfeit tokens
- These are common in this sector. A copied name, ticker or logo is not proof of authenticity, and fake support accounts actively target token holders.
- Concentrated holdings
- Concentrated token holdings can create substantial selling pressure. A small number of wallets can materially move a price against everyone else.
- The limits of commitments
- Creator disclosures and ethical commitments cannot guarantee future conduct or market performance. They describe intent at a point in time, not outcomes.
- Regulatory and tax treatment
- Regulatory and tax treatment may change, or may depend on your jurisdiction, residency and personal circumstances. Compliance is your responsibility.
Voluntary
Your decision, your assessment
Participation is voluntary. No one is required to hold, trade or interact with anything described on this website or with any token connected to it.
You should independently assess whether any of this is suitable for your circumstances, and where appropriate seek qualified independent advice — financial, legal and tax. Nothing on this website is investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing here has been tailored to you.
Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit the promotion, purchase or holding of cryptoassets. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the rules that apply where you live. If cryptoassets are restricted where you are, this website is not directed at you and you should not rely on it.
Boundaries
What KLEAR does not claim
- That KLEAR is risk-free, safe or a guaranteed store of value.
- That KLEAR has been audited, unless a genuine independent report is published.
- That KLEAR is legally approved, FCA authorised or exempt from any regulation.
- That liquidity is locked, burned or permanent without verifiable evidence.
- That the project is decentralised, community-owned or independently verified.
- That anyone's participation has been reviewed for suitability by KLEAR.
Regulation
Regulatory position
KLEAR has not been approved, authorised or exempted by the Financial Conduct Authority or by any other regulator. No claim of authorisation, approval, exemption or audit status is made anywhere on this website.
Rules governing cryptoasset promotions — in the UK and in comparable jurisdictions — restrict how tokens may be marketed, and they apply to the conduct of a promotion, not merely to the disclaimers attached to it. Before any promotional activity or sale, the applicable requirements must be reviewed by a qualified adviser. A risk warning does not by itself make an otherwise unlawful promotion lawful.
